Away from the noise of traffic, Sentry Mead sits opposite Turf Walk, a delightful tree-lined grassy avenue at the top of the cliffs, only a hundred yards from Totland Bay beach. The Hotel’s colourful and interesting gardens overlooking the Solent and Dorset Coast, add to the feeling of space and tranquillity. All the character and elegance of this imposing building has been retained providing a perfect retreat where personal care and attention to detail are all important. Being so close to Yarmouth ferry, many guests join us for short breaks as well as for longer stays throughout the year. Our stylish dining room offers imaginative five course dinner menus that combine the best of English cuisine, some European flavours and our own culinary flair. We always include a vegetarian dish. We appreciate that not all our guests have large appetites so to facilitate this we have priced each course enabling you to choose your meal according to how hungry you feel. After dinner enjoy a drink and good conversation as you relax around the fireside in the lounge, the conservatory, or on balmy summer evenings, on the terrace. Relatives and friends are most welcome to join you for drinks and dinner. Our bar caters for lunchtime appetites and evening get-togethers.
